Invisalign Is the Right Choice Gooch Family Dental Is the Right Provider

Effective Treatment
Since it first hit the market in 2000, Invisalign® has become a trusted system for teens and adults looking for a more comfortable alternative to braces. We're proud to bring this clear aligner system to Gooch Family Dental so our patients have access to the most reliable solutions in dental care.
Custom Plans
Each of our treatment plans is tailored to our patient's unique needs, and Invisalign is no exception. Our dentists will take precise digital impressions of your dental arches to map out the best path for each tooth to move into alignment. During each check-in, we'll make sure your treatment is progressing as planned.
Proven Results
Our Birmingham dentists have straightened the teeth of many patients, and seen firsthand how transformative Invisalign can be for the appearance and health of your smile. By wearing your aligners for 20-22 hours a day, you can have a beautifully straightened smile in about 12-18 months.
Making Beautiful Smiles Affordable
We understand that budgets are important when deciding on dental treatments. Here is how we help make achieving a healthy and beautiful smile more affordable:
Membership
With our Gooch Membership Plan, there are no deductibles, no annual maximums, no preapprovals, and no waiting periods. Our memberships allow uninsured patients to receive general care. This will help keep your mouth healthy throughout your Invisalign treatment.
Insurance
We work with most insurance plans to reduce your out-of-pocket costs. Your plan may contribute to the cost of your Invisalign treatment, as treatment has positive effects on your oral health. We will verify your coverage before treatment begins and help maximize your benefits.
Financing
If you are uninsured or have costs not covered by insurance, our office in Birmingham, AL, accepts CareCredit® to finance your treatment. This third-party lender allows patients who qualify to split the cost of their care into affordable monthly installments.

A Beautiful Smile in 12-18 Months The Invisalign Treatment Timeline
While timelines vary according to the patient's unique needs, you can expect these general steps:
Our Birmingham dentists use Invisalign aligners, which are made from smooth, clear, BPA-free plastic.
Candidacy Factors

Misalignment
Invisalign aligners are best for patients with mild-to-moderate orthodontic issues. If you have more severe misalignment concerns, braces may be a better treatment option.
Oral Health
You must be free of dental issues such as tooth decay and gum disease before you start this orthodontic treatment. Our Birmingham office provides comprehensive treatment options to address all your oral health concerns.
Commitment
Clear aligners must be worn for at least 20-22 hours a day for the duration of your treatment plan. If you cannot commit to wearing and maintaining your aligners, braces may be the best choice.
FAQ About Invisalign
What can Invisalign correct?
Invisalign clear aligners are a trusted treatment that has been straightening smiles for over 25 years. This aligner system can straighten crooked teeth, gapped teeth, overcrowding, underbites, crossbites, overbites, and more.
Don't I need an orthodontist?
No. While orthodontists specialize in orthodontics, our team of dentists has the skill and education to address your concerns with Invisalign. Gooch Family Dental offers comprehensive dentistry, meaning you can get all the care you need at one location instead of visiting a dentist and an orthodontist separately.
How long will my treatment take?
Treatment times vary from patient to patient. A mild case of misalignment may require just six months, and a more complex case may require 24 months or more. The average treatment time is 12-18 months.
How do I take care of my aligners?
Take your aligners out whenever you eat or drink anything besides water, and keep them in their protective case so they don't get damaged or lost. Brush and floss your teeth as usual with the aligners out. After you eat, brush your teeth or rinse well with water before you put your aligners back in. To clean the aligners, brush them with a soft-bristled toothbrush and mild soap or a non-abrasive toothpaste. Rinse them in cool or warm water, because hot water can warp them.
